Definitions

In these terms and conditions ´The Seller´ means House of Famuir Ltd (HOF Beauty) and ´The Buyer´ means the purchaser of goods from ´The Seller´ under these terms and conditions.

Trade Only

HOF Beauty operates as a distributer and wholesaler, it does not sell directly to the General Public. It does not deal with Consumer Sales. All sales are to the Trade. By placing an order with HOF Beauty you are confirming that you are not a Consumer for the purposes of the Consumer Credit legislation and for the Purposes of Sale of Goods legislation and that you are in business and purchasing the goods for the purpose of that business and not for personal use. All products sold on this website are intended for those qualified in the beauty and aesthetics trade and are for sale on a trade only basis. Customers should be qualified to use the products sold on this website. Goods are sold on the understanding that they will be used for their intended purpose. No responsibility will be accepted by The Seller, for trained or untrained personnel without qualified supervision using or mis-using equipment supplied by The Seller. If you are a business customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using, and we reserve the right to ask you for proof of professional status.

Prices

Prices and special offers are correct at the time of goods being displayed on the website but are subject to alteration without prior notice. Prices are exclusive of VAT at the ruling rates and delivery costs. VAT is not charged on educational books. It is possible that some of the products in our catalogue may be mis-priced.

We will verify pricing when processing your order and before we take payment. If we have made a mistake and a product's correct price is higher than the price on the website, we may either contact you before shipping to request whether you want to buy the product at the correct price or cancel your order. If a product's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product.

Delivery charges outside mainland UK will be verified when processing your order. If we have made a mistake and the delivery charge is higher than the price quoted on the website, we may contact you before shipping to request whether you want to continue with your purchase at the correct delivery charge or cancel your order.

All offers are subject to availability. All products within clearance are excluded from any further discounts.

HOF Beauty reserve the rights to withdraw these offers at any time without prior notice.

Discount Codes:

Orders must be over the qualifying amount, excluding VAT and delivery to qualify. Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. Free delivery over £75:

Orders must be over £75 excluding VAT to qualify, otherwise £4.95 (plus VAT) is the standard delivery charge to most parts of mainland UK. This offer is only valid on orders within mainland UK and excludes large or heavy items. Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Offshore Islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK (Northern Ireland) may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Free delivery over £75 does not apply to orders where an offer code has been used, unless stated otherwise.

VAT Free Explained:

For all VAT Free offers, prices have been reduced in the promotion with a discount which is equal to VAT Free (16.66%). Therefore it is equivalent to not having to pay the VAT. VAT is still applied to the order at the current rate of 20%.

For example, if you order an item costing £10 ex VAT. The total you would normally pay is £12 inc VAT. When we are running a VAT FREE promotion, we reduce the price of the item by 16.66% to £8.33. Therefore when we add on the VAT, the total you pay is £10 which would be the original price ex VAT.

Standard mainland UK delivery will be charged at £4.95 + VAT unless stated otherwise. Additional carriage charges may apply for large or heavy items, or items sent directly from our supplier. VAT Free offers can only be used on the website or through our Customer Service Department. Offer validity and expiry is stated on all promotional activity and may be subject to change. VAT is not charged on educational books. VAT is always applied to your delivery charge.

Social Media Competitions

  • In the event of multiple correct entries the winner will be determined by a draw.

Payment

Payment is due in full prior to dispatch of goods if a credit arrangement is not agreed beforehand. Payment is due 30 days from the date of invoice where a credit agreement exists.

Please note, delivery addresses cannot be changed on an order by a customer once payment has been taken. If you wish to make amendments to your delivery once an order has been made, please speak to a member of our Customer Service Team.

We are unable to change your delivery address on orders paid by PayPal.

Online Orders

When you place an order to purchase an item from House of Famuir Ltd (HOF Beauty),we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we despatch that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we despatch the product to you. Any products on the same order which are not despatched, do not form part of that contract.

All colours are as accurate as they can be when displayed on a computer monitor or mobile device. We recommend requesting colour swatches on furniture items where available. Returns due to incorrect colours ordered cannot be accepted.

Returned Goods

If goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected:
Please contact our Customer Services Department on 01480 404 200 to request a returns authorisation number. Please note, goods must be returned within 7 days of the returns reference being issued.

If goods have been ordered in error or are unsuitable:
The Buyer must pay for the return postage.

The relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. Goods must be returned within 14 days of receipt, unused, in perfect condition and sent back in their original packaging.

If items are returned as unsuitable:
The Buyer will only be entitled to a refund on the item purchased and not the original postage paid. This process can take between 7-10 days to complete and for a refund to be issued.

Carriage for any alternative items is to be paid for by The Buyer. The Seller accepts no responsibility for items lost in transit. It is recommended that a receipt of posting is obtained and it is the Buyers responsibility to ensure adequate insurance is purchased to cover the items being returned.

Refunds on large/heavy items will be subject to a minimum 10% handling charge.

Items received with broken seals will incur a 10% handling fee and those without original packaging will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.

Exclusions:

  • All furniture which has been made to special order cannot be returned.
  • All REM and Lemi furniture is non returnable.
  • Items that are sent direct from the manufacturer are non returnable if they are unsuitable. This does not affect your statutory rights. For more information please contact Customer Services.
  • Due to strict hygiene regulations, the Seller cannot accept returns of items such as manicure or pedicure implements, tweezers and electrolysis needles (This list is not exhaustive).
  • Goods returned damaged due to poor packaging will not entitle The Buyer to a full credit/refund. Your Statutory Rights are not affected.
  • All colours are as accurate as they can be when displayed on a computer monitor or mobile device. We recommend requesting colour swatches on furniture items where available. Returns due to incorrect colours ordered cannot be accepted.

If items are returned as faulty:

Any faulty items which are still under the manufacturer’s warranty must be reported and sent back for inspection, once the goods are received back we will determine whether the item(s) can be repaired, if this is not the case then a replacement will be issued. If we are unable to either repair or replace the item(s) then a full or partial refund may be issued. This process can take between 10-14 days, there are exceptions to this policy due to hygiene reasons - see exclusions.

Our warranties run from the initial date of purchase, if we have made the decision to replace a product that is still under warranty then this does not mean that you receive a new warranty when you receive a replacement. In essence the contract that you make at the time of sale, which includes the warranty, is formed at the time when you paid the money. Issuing a replacement is something that occurs under the original agreement and it does not mean that you receive a new warranty. Therefore, it is important to be aware that your original warranty will expire on the original purchase, rather than the clock being re-set on the warranty at the time when your item is replaced.

Shortages & Damages

Goods must be inspected on delivery and all claims for shortages or damages must be reported to The Seller within 48 hours of receipt of goods. Free delivery over £75 does not apply to orders where a promotional discount has been applied.

Delivery Charges

£4.95 plus VAT is the standard delivery charge for most parts of mainland UK. Delivery charges to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Offshore Islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Special delivery charges will be quoted on request. This excludes any large or heavy items. Orders placed online over £75, excluding VAT, to most parts of mainland UK qualify for free delivery. Free delivery over £75 does not apply to orders where a promotional discount has been applied.

Next Working Day Delivery

£6.95 plus VAT is the charge for next working day delivery. If orders are received, fully completed and payment taken before 2pm GMT between Monday to Thursday, we aim to deliver them the next working day. Dispatch times can vary depending on stock availability and any guarantees made as to delivery times are subject to any delays that can result from transport delays or force majeure, for which we will not be held responsible. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery. Next day delivery is available to most parts of mainland UK only and only applies to items that are in stock. Does not apply to items sent direct from supplier, or large or heavy items.

 

Delivery

The Seller's policy is to despatch goods to meet the timeframe stated for delivery. Times quoted are in good faith but shall not be binding. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery. Some furniture and equipment orders may take up to 6-8 weeks for delivery, or up to 14 weeks for special order items. Extra handling charges may be incurred for re-despatched parcels.

HOF Beauty is not liable for delayed, missing or damaged parcels/contents if a delivery signature has not been obtained when the parcel has been left in a designated safe place at your request. If you choose to have your order delivered to a location you deem as ‘safe’ then the liability transfers to you.

Please note, delivery addresses cannot be changed on an order by a customer once payment has been taken. We are unable to change your delivery address on orders paid by PayPal.

Free standard delivery 2- 3 day service over £75:
Orders must be over £75(excluding VAT and placed online) to qualify for free standard delivery, otherwise £4.95 (plus VAT) is the standard delivery charge to most parts of mainland UK. Only valid on orders within mainland UK and excludes large or heavy items. Delivery charges to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Offshore Islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Free standard delivery does not apply to orders where an offer code has been used unless stated otherwise. If orders placed for next day delivery, £6.95 (plus VAT) are received, completed and payment has been taken before 2pm GMT between Monday and Thursday, we will deliver the next working day.

 

 

Large and Heavy Items

Please ask for carriage charges on the following items; porcelain basins, washpoints, hydraulic chairs, barbers chairs, portable, hydraulic and electric couches, large chairs, nail stations, reception desks and other large furniture items. This list is not exhaustive.

Any furniture ordered will be delivered to a room of choice.

We advise that tradesmen who are booked to install items should only be arranged once in receipt of the goods.

Next Day Delivery

£6.95 plus VAT is the charge for next working day delivery. Next day delivery only applies to items that are in stock. Does not apply to items that are sent direct from our supplier, or large or heavy items. Next day delivery is only available to mainland UK. Some areas of the UK cannot receive next day delivery – please contact Customer Services if you need more information. Orders placed for next day delivery the day before a bank holiday will receive their order on the next working day. Please note, we cannot guarantee next day delivery following a bank holiday weekend.

 

Click & Collect

We have partnered with DPD to offer you an alternative solution to home delivery. Our Click & Collect service allows you to have your order delivered to a selected DPD Pickup store, giving you the choice to collect your order from over 6,000 stores nationwide.

Standard Delivery - Within 2-3 working days* (Monday – Thursday before 2pm). Delivery costs £4.95 or free on orders over £75.

Next Day Delivery - Delivery on the following day* (Monday – Thursday before 2pm). Delivery costs £6.95 

 

 

Customs For Overseas Orders

When ordering goods from House of Famuir Ltd (HOF Beauty) for delivery outside the United Kingdom you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the goods reach the specified destination. Any additional charges for Customs clearance must be paid by you; House of Famuir Ltd (HOF Beauty) has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If you are ordering goods from outside the United Kingdom, it is your responsibility to comply with all the laws and regulations in the country in which you are receiving the goods.

If you refuse to pay the charges levied by customs and excise or the delivery is unsuccessful and the goods are returned to us then you will be liable for the return shipment fees and these will be deducted from any refund due. As from 1st January 2021 there may be additional customs fees to pay for customers within the EU and Northern Ireland. These fees are levied by your local customs and must be paid directly to them in order for your goods to be released.

Cancellations

Prior to despatch, non-standard items such as furniture or special order items cannot be cancelled. You have the statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt of your goods. You do not have to give a reason for cancelling, but if you do wish to cancel your order, please notify us by clearly stating your wish to cancel. Once you have notified us of cancellation within 14 days of receipt of the goods, please refer to our returns policy above.

Product Availability

All products are subject to stock availability. Stock availability is shown on the website, however if we have insufficient stock to fulfill the order, we will notify you by e-mail at the address given by you in your registration form. Stock is allocated on a first come first served basis once your order reaches our main server. The Seller doesn´t guarantee the availability of any item based on stock figures shown.

Force Majeure

HOF Beautyshall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, Act of God or failure to deliver by suppliers or carriers.

Guarantee

All items are guaranteed according to the individual manufacturer´s warranty. Any faulty items which are still under the manufacturer’s warranty must be reported and sent back for inspection, once the goods are received back we will determine whether the item(s) can be repaired, if this is not the case then a replacement will be issued. If we are unable to either repair or replace the item(s) then a full or partial refund may be issued. This process can take between 10-14 days, there are exceptions to this policy due to hygiene reasons - see exclusions. All glass items are specifically excluded from this guarantee.

In essence the contract that you make at the time of sale, which includes the warranty, is formed at the time when you paid the money. Issuing a replacement is something that occurs under the original agreement and it does not mean that you receive a new warranty. Therefore, it is important to be aware that your original warranty will expire on the original purchase, rather than the clock being re-set on the warranty at the time when your item is replaced.

REM Products - these products come with a years' warranty which covers the cost of any replacement part and any labour costs incurred. In addition to this some REM products have an additional two year warranty. The additional warranty covers parts only for the remaining two years.

If you have a problem with an REM product that is covered under the three year warranty please contact our Customer Service Team and they can request a call to an REM engineer who will diagnose the fault but there would be a £75 call out fee, this covers the call out and first hours' labour, any hour after that would be charged at £40 per hour.

Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions and all contracts entered into under them are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales in relation to any contract entered into under these terms and conditions.

Retention of Title Clause

1. The risk in all goods passes to The Buyer upon delivery but title in the goods remains vested in The Seller and shall only pass from The Seller to The Buyer upon full payment being made of all sums (due on whatsoever account or grounds) to The Seller.

The Buyer agrees, prior to the payment of the whole price of the goods, The Seller or appointed agents may enter The Buyers premises to collect such goods should The Seller request. Prior to such payment, the Buyer shall keep the goods separate and identifiable for the purpose and return the goods to The Seller should The Seller request.
