This plug-in hand piece is a Blue Light 425nm LED wavelength visible blue light. Which occurs after the U.V, band. This part of the visible spectrum of light has shown it to be beneficial for a wide range of treatments including inflammatory acne (acne vulgaris). This light can be applied following the microdermabrasion treatment.

Blue Light acne treatment is a non-invasive procedure that uses the Blue wavelength to kill the Propionobacterium in the skin. The bacteria in acne release porphyrins, these are naturally occurring substances in the body. When porphyrins absorb certain light wavelengths, free radical damage is produced destroying the bacteria.
